Greenhouse Cogeneration
There are many ways to produce heat for a greenhouse, but a very smart way is to combine it with the electricity generated for the greenhouse: a process called cogeneration (COGEN), also referred to as Combined Heat and Power (CHP).
During cogeneration, electricity is generated for the greenhouse. The by-products heat and the CO2 in the exhaust gasses can be used for the greenhouse as well, in order to save fuel and thus costs.
Enerdes designs cogeneration installations (COGENS) completely optimized to your facility. Our tailor-made cogeneration solutions have total returns as high as 88 -95%. Consequently, this high level of energy efficiency makes the installation cost effective and the more environmentally conscious solution.
